Help support the Paul Rickard Memorial Scholarship today! Support Athletic Scholarships "This athletic scholarship is very important to me and motivates me to pursue excellence in my academic and athletic career. I am going to be a first generation graduate, and the first of four siblings to seek the benefits from higher education. I plan on becoming a teacher, and a coach, so I can teach students in the classroom and on the field. One of my goals is to help all kids be comfortable in their own body and gain confidence in who they are; because the more confident they are in themselves, the more likely they are to succeed and pursue their dreams. Students come from all walks of life, I want to stress the importance of embracing diversity and teach them the importance of working together. Again, thank you for this gift. I am grateful for the people in this world who already want to see me make my dreams a reality.” – Erin W. Athletic Scholarship Recipient The Rickard Family organizes this Golf Event annually in honor of their father, Paul Rickard who was a tenured SUNY Orange Mathematics faculty member, and basketball and golf coach. The Golf Outing raises money for athletic scholarships which are awarded to SUNY Orange student athletes who otherwise might not be able to attend college or play the sport that they love. This year's event is taking place on Monday, June 17, 2024 at West Hills Country Club in Middletown. Registration is at 10:30 am, with golf starting at noon and a lovely reception dinner after golf. Make a gift to the Ida-Marie Szmyt Endowed Nursing Scholarship today! Make a Gift to the Ida-Marie Szmyt Endowed Nursing Scholarship “I really enjoy being in the nursing program because it was honestly a dream of mine to become a RN ever since I was little. To think that it's actually becoming true still feels so unreal. I love to care for people and to help people feel better, so I knew that nursing was the perfect career for me. Being awarded this scholarship is a huge help to me especially because during the school year I cut down A LOT of my working hours to focus on my studies. Having this scholarship has really helped me with paying for my nursing expenses and I couldn't be more appreciative." - Ashley Schiaffo, Nursing Student Thank you for making a gift to the Ida-Marie Szmyt Endowed Nursing Scholarship!
