Holiday Open House
"Holiday Enchantment with Children Stories"
Visitors to SUNY Orange’s 25th annual Holiday Open House on the weekends of Dec. 7-8 and 14-15 at stately Morrison Hall will be invited to a “Holiday Enchantment with Children Stories,” courtesy of the award-winning decorative handiwork of the Middletown Garden Lovers.
The Holiday Open House will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is free. Volunteers will be on hand to offer information on the Garden Lovers and the College.
In each room of Morrison Hall, visitors will be treated to holiday scenes from their favorite children’s stories to include Twas the Night Before Christmas (foyer), Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland (dining room), Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone (library), Peter Pan (Music Room) and Ten Tiny Gingerbread Men (salon).
Holiday performances by the SUNY Orange Madrigal Singers and the Chamber Ensemble will augment the Open House. The Madrigal Singers will showcase their talents at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7 while the Chamber Ensemble will perform at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14.
The Holiday Open House is jointly sponsored by the College, the SUNY Orange Foundation and the Garden Lovers.
