Celebrating 75 Years of SUNY Orange
Over one unforgettable weekend, we welcomed alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends to celebrate 75 years of transforming lives, through learning and community impact.
From our opening night Friday, May 16th, Return to the Mansion: A 75 Year Celebration to the Saturday evening Transforming Lives Gala, to our Cheers to 75 Years Breakfast on Sunday on the Newburgh campus, it was a time to reflect, reconnect, and look ahead to the future.

Return to the Mansion: a 75-Year Celebration
Friday, May 16
Before Orange County Community College (SUNY Orange) opened its doors, the Morrison family opened their home. In a remarkable act of generosity, Mrs. Christine Morrison gifted the Mansion to establish the college's first campus, planting the roots of a legacy that continues to grow
This special evening honored the Morrison family, the dreams that took shape within these walls, and the generations of students who followed. Guests enjoyed historic mansion tours, archival displays, horse & carriage rides, food, drinks, live music, and great company, all set against the backdrop of where it all began.

SUNY Orange Past, Present, Future Gala
A Celebration of Transforming Lives for 75 Years
Saturday, May 17
Our signature celebration at West Hills Country Club brought together alumni, community members, and supporters for an unforgettable evening of music, memories, and connection. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, live music by CloudNyne, and a moving tribute video featuring alumni reflections gathered throughout the year.
During cocktail hour, current students shared stories of how SUNY Orange has transformed their lives, bringing the college's mission to life in real time. Remarks from President, Dr. Kristine Young, and SUNY Chancellor Dr. John B. King honored the college's enduring legacy.
A highlight of the evening was the Transformed Tiles art auction, featuring original works painted by SUNY Orange students on historic tiles from the Morrison Hall roof, with funds raised benefitting both the student artists and the Transforming Spaces fund.

Cheers to 75 Years Breakfast
Sunday, May 18
We closed out the weekend on our Newburgh campus with a morning of reflection, reconnection, and gratitude. Guests enjoyed a relaxed breakfast in the Kaplan Great Room, followed by campus tours, and a special presentation celebrating SUNY Orange's ongoing impact.
The program highlighted the generosity of the Kaplan Family whose transformational gift has helped sustain the Newburgh campus, as well as recent developments in Workforce Development, including the growth of the FoodTech program, and the relocation of the Radiologic Technology program to Newburgh.
