Rebekah Grohl '18
The SUNY Orange community is saddened to hear of the loss of alumna Rebekah Grohl, class of 2018, - a fierce 22-year-old community activist in Newburgh. The vibrant young woman had been the campaign manager for Orange County Legislator Kevindaryan Lujan and also volunteered on the campaigns of State Senator James Skoufis and Congressman Antonio Delgado. Flora worked at SUNY Orange as the Business Office Clerk, Principle Accounts Clerk, and the first Business Manager of the College Alumni. The SUNY Orange community was saddened to hear of the loss of alumnus, Officer Shane Sullivan, class of 2015, who passed away Saturday, August 24. Officer Sullivan was a 2010 graduate of Pine Bush High School and was a member of the NYPD for three years. READ MORE

Charlie Cawein '52
The SUNY Orange community was saddened to learn of the passing of alumnus, Charlie Cawein '52. Charlie was the first student to apply for admission to the College upon its founding in 1950. He was named the College’s first Athlete of the Year in 1951. He was also named captain of the College’s first soccer team in 1951. He remained an ardent supporter of the College over the years.
